Bradley Chubb Discusses Altercation with Alaric Jackson

Buffalo Bills edge defender Bradley Chubb clarified the events of a postgame altercation with Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson following their game in October. Chubb explained that contrary to rumors, he did not insult Jackson’s family. Instead, he expressed his belief that the Rams’ offensive protection wouldn’t suffice in future matchups. The confrontation erupted after Chubb initiated the conversation by commenting on the Rams’ playing style, which he perceived as increasingly bold only when they thought they were winning.

The altercation occurred right after the Bills secured an overtime win against the Rams, during which Bills defensive player Greg Rousseau played a crucial role by blocking a Rams field goal attempt. The incident led to Jackson receiving a one-game suspension from the NFL, which was reduced from two games following an appeal. Throughout the incident, Chubb maintained that he refrained from physical retaliation to set a positive example as a leader on his team.

Chubb acknowledged his role in sparking the dispute but emphasized the learning opportunity it presented. He humorously noted that in future he might either keep his hands up or wear a helmet to avoid similar situations. The Bills and Rams are not scheduled to meet again during the regular 2026 season, and a rematch would only occur in the Super Bowl, an outcome Chubb seems to anticipate.
